What do you think is the reason most relationships that started with “honey,” “my love,” and “darling” later turn to hatred, separation, and divorce?
When love is tested, it will reveal whether it is real love or not.
Jesus never loved us because we were good or perfect. He is the One who perfects us. We were unrighteous, and He made us righteous. When we do not draw our expression for living from Him, the best we can become is religious. And when Christ is not seen in our lives, He will not be seen in our marriage relationship.
God loves you and me because love is His eternal nature.
If a husband, wife, or those about to marry can learn the love life from Jesus, what destroyed other relationships will not destroy their own.
When love is tested, it will reveal whether it is real love or not.

Love without patience must be checked.
Love that pushes you toward overnight success must be checked.
Love that cannot accept step by step growth must be checked.
Love that is centered on beauty and not on joy and respect should be checked.
Love that is centered on money alone should be checked.
When someone does not care how you feel but only gives you money, such love must also be checked.
The Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:1–10 that love is patient, love is kind, and it is not easily provoked. This scripture should be used for real life appreciation in any relationship that is leading to marriage.
Love is the reason for honor, respect, and submission. Love gives and keeps giving, yet it does not seek what is not available.
Christ gave us what He has, abundant life and eternal life. It is good to be wealthy, but wealth can never be the only source of joy. There are many wealthy people without joy. Do not allow money or lack of money to determine your joy. If you do not have it today, you can have it tomorrow.
Those who do not understand this may despise their God given partner. But the Bible cautions us in Epistle to the Romans 12:9 to let love be genuine and to avoid evil. Deceptive love measures what you have and not who you are.
You should be loved for who Christ has made you to be. When you love someone, you esteem him or her highly.
What do you think about people spending so much money on fantasies in their relationships, yet after a short while the marriage crashes?
What is responsible for that?
The problem is not the spending. The problem is when love is not rooted in patience, kindness, growth, and genuine commitment.
Where there is true love, peace and joy will show up.
When love is real, it will stand the test.
